WORLD KARATE CHAMPIONSHIPS
The Senior World Championships are Karate's biggest event and the flagship representation of the excellence of the sport. As the most popular and most anticipated Karate event, the Karate World Championships offer the opportunity to watch the best karateka in the world in action in a competition of unprecedented scale and relevance. Hundreds of competitors from all over the world participate in Karate’s historic tournament and millions follow the competition at home from the successful WKF-owned TV production. The Karate World Championships are split into team (Karate World Cup) and Individual (World Championships) events, which are held in alternate years every two years.
