READ NEWSThe Youth Olympic Games is the world’s largest multi-sport event for high-performance young athletes aiming at inspiring athletes to embrace the Olympic values of RESPECT, FRIENDSHIP, AND EXCELLENCE.
The Youth Olympic Games (YOG) were initiated in 2007 by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) as a new elite sporting competition for young people with both, summer and winter editions. It is held every four years and it has two editions, winter and summer. The first summer edition was held in Singapore in 2010 and the second summer YOG was held in Nanjing 2014. Summer editions so far with an average participation of 3500 athletes and over 200 countries.
