WKF President Welcomes Latvia Karate Federation President to WKF Headquarters in Madrid

The World Karate Federation (WKF) President Antonio Espinós welcomed the President of the Latvia Karate Federation, Toufic Kawar, to the WKF headquarters in Madrid, Spain
During the meeting, Mr. Kawar and WKF President Antonio Espinós reviewed the progress of karate in Latvia and the participation of Latvian karate athletes in major international events. Discussions also focused on ways to strengthen efforts to support Latvian karate’s future growth and the broader development of karate worldwide.
“I want to thank President Toufic Kawar for his visit to the WKF headquarters. His dedication to the development of karate in Latvia is evident, and his efforts are yielding positive results for the sport. We have already seen a token of these efforts in Jesolo, Italy, at the recent World Cadet, Junior & U21 Championships, where a big Latvian delegation took part in the event. We value the strong partnership with the Latvia Karate Federation and remain committed to supporting their athletes as they compete on the international stage,” said WKF and EKF President Antonio Espinós.
The meeting reinforced the shared vision of fostering karate’s growth worldwide, with a particular focus on strengthening national federations. Both leaders expressed optimism about the future of karate in Latvia and around the world.
