The third day of the 2024 Karate 1 Youth League in Venice, Italy, saw intense competition as winners in the Junior Male and Cadet categories were crowned. With over 4,000 athletes from around the world, the event is the largest youth karate showcase of the year.

Cadet Kata Male: Kanta Fukui of Japan Claims Gold

Kanta Fukui of Japan displayed precision and mastery to secure victory in the Cadet Kata Male final. He outscored Vasco Mateus of Portugal with a score of 24.80 to 24.30, demonstrating top technique and control.

Cadet Kata Female: Ria Hori of Japan Stays on Top

In the Cadet Kata Female category, Ria Hori of Japan emerged as the winner, defeating Tamara Lehner of Austria. Hori’s performance was commanding, earning her a score of 25.50, over Lehner’s 24.30.

Cadet Kumite Female -47kg: Lee-Lou Koume of France Dominates

Lee-Lou Koume of France showcased a dynamic approach to win the Cadet Kumite Female -47kg title. She overcame Portugal’s Isis Matos with a decisive 13-5 victory.

Junior Kumite Male -55kg: Antonio Celentano of Italy Shines at Home

Italian fans had reason to celebrate as Antonio Celentano took the gold in the Junior Kumite Male -55kg division. Facing Arsenii Rudenko of Ukraine, Celentano displayed composure and precision, winning 4-1 in front of an enthusiastic home crowd.

Junior Kumite Male -61kg: Belgium’s Matt Rombeaux Outlasts Hungarian Rival

Belgium’s Matt Rombeaux showed determination to win the Junior Kumite Male -61kg title. In a fast-paced bout, Rombeaux defeated Hungary’s Roland Toth Mate with a score of 8-6, securing Belgium’s spot on the medal tally.
