The city of Porec, Croatia, is set to host the 16th edition of the WKF Youth Training Camp next week. This event is recognised as the largest celebration of karate for young athletes, drawing hundreds of participants from around the world.
The WKF Youth Training Camp is an unparalleled opportunity for young karatekas to refine their skills and immerse themselves in the sport while celebrating their passion for Karate. Over three days, attendees will engage in intensive training sessions led by some of karate's most distinguished stars. The camp offers a unique blend of learning, camaraderie, and cultural exchange, making it a must-attend event for aspiring karate champions.
This year's camp features an impressive lineup of instructors, each bringing a wealth of experience and expertise. The list of instructors includes two-time continental champion and local hero Andjelo Kvesic of Croatia, Olympic Games gold medallist, five-time continental champion, and 2012 World Champion Luigi Busa of Italy, Olympic Games silver medallist and three-time continental champion Anzhelika Terliuga of Ukraine, silver medallist at the Olympic Games, seven-time continental champion, and four-time world championships runner-up Damian Quintero of Spain, and current world champion, three-time continental champion and Olympic Games bronze medallist Ali Sofuoglu of Turkiye.
The camp welcomes youngsters from the U12 to U21 categories, ensuring that a wide range of age groups can benefit from this exceptional training experience. As in previous years, para-karate athletes will also be participating, underscoring the camp's commitment to inclusivity and the promotion of karate for all.
