The final day of the 2024 Karate 1 Premier League in Casablanca marked the end of the season of Karate 1-Premier League, crowning the gold medallists in all categories and introducing new heroes to the sport. Newly proclaimed Grand Winners such as Abdalla Abdelaziz, Hiromu Hashimoto, Maho Ono, Elena Quirici, Valentina Toro, Kakeru Nishiyama prevailed as well as heroes of the sport such as Li Gong and Yorgelis Salazar.
Male Kumite -75 kg: Abdalla Abdelaziz of Egypt Celebrates Grand Winner with Victory
Abdalla Abdelaziz triumphed over Enzo Berthon of France with a dominant 14-4 victory. Abdelaziz, the newly proclaimed Grand Winner, is number one in the WKF World Ranking and the current World Champion. Abdelaziz’s outstanding performance in Casablanca marks his seventh gold in the Karate 1 Premier League and crowns the Olympian as the dominant force in the division.
Female Kumite -61 kg: Li Gong of China Stuns
Li Gong defeated Yuki Kujuro of Japan 8-0 with an impressive display of kicking abilities. As the current World Champion and bronze medallist at the 2024 Karate 1 Premier League Paris, Li wins her first Karate 1-Premier League gold in Casablanca. His winning performance, based on two outstanding “Ippon” or three-point techniques by kicks showcases Li as one of the most effective kicking stars of the sport.
Male Kumite -60 kg: Hiromu Hashimoto of Japan Wins Clash for Grand Winner
Hiromu Hashimoto beat Abdullah Shaaban of Kuwait 7-3 in one of the most highly anticipated matches of the day. The clash for gold of Male Kumite -60kg in Casablanca was set to decide the new Grand Winner of the category as both Hashimoto and Shaaban reached the title-deciding bout with options to top the standings of the division.
Hashimoto, the current Grand Winner, retains his title and proves once again he is the best of the best in his category after dominating the clash in a showcase of offensive karate. He is number three in the world ranking and a three-time Karate 1 Premier League winner.

Female Kumite -50 kg: Yorgelis Salazar Avenges Losing Grand Winner Award
Yorgelis Salazar won against Moldir Zhangbyrbay of Kazakhstan with a decisive 10-2 victory. Salazar, number one in the world ranking, secured her sixth Karate 1 Premier League win with an outstanding performance, brilliantly wrapped up with a triumph one minute before the allotted time. Salazar, who was the defending Grand Winner got even with rival Zhangbyrbay who had taken the Grand Winner of the category during the eliminations.
Female Kata: Maho Ono of Japan Shines as New Grand Winner
Maho Ono edged out Mirisa Ohuchi of Japan 43.70 to 42.70 in the final of Female Kata. Ono, the newly proclaimed Grand Winner, is number five in the WKF World Ranking and a three-time Karate 1 Premier League winner. This triumph in Casablanca and the confirmation of her Grand Winner Award put Ono on the frontline of the category.
Male Kumite -84 kg: Andrii Toroshanko of Ukraine Surprises
Andrii Toroshanko defeated Daniyar Yuldashev of Kazakhstan 9-1. This victory marks Toroshanko's first Karate 1 Premier League win and his first international final. The clash was one-sided since the beginning and Toroshanko reached his first-ever international triumph in style.

Elena Quirici overcame Hadir Hendy of Egypt 6-0 to clinch the gold. The Olympian claimed the Grand Winner title and completed her performance in Casablanca with the gold medal.
Male Kumite -67 kg: Abdel Rahman Almasatfa Takes Hard-Fought Win
Abdel Rahman Almasatfa won against Yugo Kozaki of Japan 6-0. Almasatfa, number two in the WKF world ranking and a three-time continental champion secured his fourth gold in the Karate 1 Premier League and took a crucial step forward to leading the division.
Female Kumite -55 kg: Valentina Toro Adds Gold to Grand Winner Award
Valentina Toro of Chile defeated Cok Istri Agung Sanistyarani of Indonesia 6-3. Toro, the newly proclaimed Grand Winner and a two-time continental champion, celebrated her second Karate 1 Premier League gold in Casablanca, and confirmed her ascent to Karate’s stardom with a brilliant performance in the last event of the season where she also secured the “Best of the Best” award.

Male Kata: Kakeru Nishiyama Continues Ruling Division
Kakeru Nishiyama bested Ryuji Moto of Japan 45.60 to 43.30 in the final of Male Kata. Nishiyama, the new Grand Winner, maintained his title after winning gold in all four events of the Karate 1 Premier League this season. He is number one in the WKF world ranking and a two-time continental champion, and with the title in Casablanca he completes a perfect season. After securing his second consecutive Grand Winner Award, Nishiyama confirms his status as the biggest force in the category.
Female Kumite 68+ kg: Nancy Garcia of France Shines
Nancy Garcia triumphed over Sofya Berultseva of Kazakhstan 7-3. Garcia secured her first gold of the season and third Karate 1 Premier League title in five finals and provided the first crown of the tournament for the powerhouse nation of France.
Male Kumite 84+ kg: Ryzvan Talibov Takes Title
Ryzvan Talibov defeated Taha Tarek Mahmoud of Egypt 5-0. Talibov, a four-time Karate 1 Premier League winner, surprised new Grand Winner Mahmoud and added another gold to his collection of accolades following his bronze in Paris this season.
The 2024 Karate 1 Premier League in Casablanca concluded with the confirmation of all Grand Winners, celebrating the new heroes of the sport. The event also put the golden finishing touch to a memorable season of Karate 1-Premier League.
