Junior Kata Female: Shinjo Shines

Rinze Shinjo of Japan clinched the Junior Kata Female title, defeating Mariam Elezaby of Egypt with a score of 25.40 to 24.30. Shinjo's precision and technique were unmatched, earning her the top spot.

 

Junior Kata Male: Di Rubba Dominates

Italy’s Luigi Di Rubba triumphed in the Junior Kata Male category. Di Rubba's performance scored 26.30, outclassing Austria’s Timon Wu, who earned 25.20. Di Rubba’s victory highlighted Italy’s strong presence in the competition.

 

Junior Kumite Female -48 kg: Bifulco's Brilliance

Asia Bifulco from Italy secured a 6-3 win against Agnes Nyman of Sweden in the Junior Kumite Female -48 kg category. Bifulco’s strategic strikes and solid defence led her to victory.

 

Junior Kumite Female -53 kg: Abdesselem's Ascent

Silya Abdesselem of France emerged victorious in the Junior Kumite Female -53 kg category, defeating Lydia Lamprini Xenou of Greece 5-1. Abdesselem's precision were key to her dominant performance.

 

Junior Kumite Female -59 kg: Yvon's Victory

Sydney Yvon from France won the Junior Kumite Female -59 kg category, edging out Jana Hazem Elsayed of Egypt with a close 5-4 score. Yvon’s triumph added a second gold medal for France today.

 

Junior Kumite Female -66 kg: Bejarano's Breakthrough

In the Junior Kumite Female -66 kg category, Mireia Bejarano of Spain triumphed over Panna Bogdan of Hungary by decision (0-0). The judges favoured Bejarano’s controlled and strategic approach, awarding her the victory and adding one more gold for the hosts.

 

Junior Kumite Female 66+ kg: Tomic Triumphs

Sara Tomic of Croatia won the Junior Kumite Female 66+ kg category, defeating Malak Elbarbary of Egypt 8-3.

 

Junior Kumite Male -55 kg: Squillante's Skill

Guido Squillante from Italy showcased his skills in the Junior Kumite Male -55 kg category, winning 2-0 against Miras Abdikadyr of Kazakhstan. Squillante’s disciplined approach and swift attacks led to his success.

 

Junior Kumite Male -61 kg: Rombeaux's Resolve

Matt Rombeaux of Belgium clinched the Junior Kumite Male -61 kg title with a narrow 1-0 victory over Abdalla Aly Eltohamy of Egypt. Rombeaux needed to score just one “Yuko” to claim the title.

 

Junior Kumite Male -68 kg: Ozoruba's Offensive

Nazarii Ozoruba from Ukraine won the Junior Kumite Male -68 kg category, defeating Hairiss Hierso of France 4-1.

 

Junior Kumite Male -76 kg: Marino's Mastery

Angelo Marino of Italy dominated the Junior Kumite Male -76 kg category, beating Alikhan Kadyrgali of Kazakhstan 6-1. Marino’s mastery of technique helped Italy to continue their successful performance today.

 

Junior Kumite Male 76+ kg: Seck's Supremacy

Serigne Mbacke Seck from Senegal emerged victorious in the Junior Kumite Male 76+ kg category, winning 6-2 against Lukas Bohunicky of Slovakia. Seck’s powerful strikes secured his win, extending the list of countries taking gold at the event.

 

Day 2 of the Karate 1 Youth League in A Coruña was filled with thrilling matches and impressive displays of skill, as young karatekas from around the globe competed fiercely for the top honours. The competition continues in A Coruña with day 3 on Saturday.
