Karate’s most popular event for youngsters returns to A Coruna. The northern Spanish city hosts the second Karate 1-Youth League of the year from May 16 to 19.
It is the second time that A Coruna has hosted a Karate 1-Youth League after welcoming the highly successful event in 2023. Over 2100 youngsters from 64 countries participated in the tournament, a testament to the popularity of Karate at young ages. The representatives of Spain and Ukraine topped the medal table of the event after garnering nine gold medals each.
The 2024 Karate 1-Youth League A Coruna is the second event of the season following the opening tournament in Fujairah (UAE). Once Karate’s series of international events for youngsters stops in Spain, the Karate 1-Youth League will travel to Porec (Croatia), Cancun (Mexico) and Venice (Italy).
